Scholarship

My research is conducted within the Organizational Psychology Lab at The College of New Jersey, which is staffed and run entirely by a rotating group of undergraduate student researchers. In any given semester, the lab is typically the point of coordination for 6-10 research assistants and 1-4 students working semi-autonomously on independent studies or senior honors theses. My research tends to focus on challenges to effective self-regulation at work, with particular interests in the following areas:

  • Deviance and rule-breaking in organizations (which may be either constructive or destructive)
  • Emotion management and emotional labor in customer service settings
  • Feedback dynamics between supervisors and subordinates
  • Career interests and career decision-making
